FAQs
Can RoadBuddyAssist jump-start my vehicle?
Yes. RoadBuddyAssist delivers up to 2000A peak current and is engineered to jump-start standard 12V vehicles, including gasoline cars, SUVs, and diesel engines up to 5.0L. For best results ensure the unit is sufficiently charged before use and follow the clamp connection steps in the manual. Actual performance depends on the condition of the vehicle battery and the device’s charge level. Do not use on non-12V electrical systems.
How do I safely use the jump starter?
Follow these safety steps every time: power off the unit, insert the smart clamp into the device, attach the red clamp to the battery’s positive (+) terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal, confirm indicator lights, then start the engine. Remove clamps in reverse order after the engine runs. Avoid connecting clamps to alternators or body parts. If the vehicle fails to start after a few attempts, stop and recharge the unit; repeated tries can stress both batteries.
How long does it take to inflate a tire and what are the runtime limits?
The integrated inflator delivers about 20 L/min airflow and can inflate a tire from 0–36 PSI in roughly 4 minutes under typical conditions. The pump’s maximum rating is 150 PSI. Because inflation generates heat, avoid continuous operation beyond 10 minutes — pause after 5–8 minutes of heavy use to cool the unit. Always use the correct nozzle adapter, monitor tire pressure with a gauge, and never leave the pump running unattended.
Can I charge phones and other devices with RoadBuddyAssist?
Yes. RoadBuddyAssist functions as a power bank with an approximately 10,000–12,000 mAh battery and supports 5V/2A USB output and 5V/2A Type-C input. You can charge smartphones, GPS units, and other USB-powered electronics. Charging speed and number of charges vary by device model and battery condition. Avoid charging high-draw appliances while simultaneously using the jump starter or running the inflator.
How should I store and maintain the device for long-term reliability?
Store RoadBuddyAssist in its EVA carrying case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For optimal battery health, recharge the unit at least once every 3 months if it’s not in regular use and avoid leaving it fully discharged for long periods. Inspect clamps, ports, and hoses for dirt or corrosion before storage. Proper periodic charging and care prolong service life and ensure the device is ready during emergencies.
What safety and protection features are included?
RoadBuddyAssist includes multiple safety protections: smart clamp protection against reverse polarity, short circuit, overcurrent, and overheating; a stable multi-cell battery design for steady output; and CE & FCC certifications. The device also includes multi-mode LED lighting (flashlight, warning, SOS) for safer nighttime roadside work. Always read and follow the user manual’s safety precautions before first use.
What’s included in the package and is it compatible with my vehicle?
The package contains: BN03 Car Jump Starter, extended jumper cables (smart clamps), inflatable hose, four nozzle adapters, EVA carrying case, USB charging cable, and user manual. RoadBuddyAssist is built for 12V systems and is compatible with most cars, motorcycles, SUVs and diesel engines up to 5.0L. Its compact ~1.25 kg design fits easily in trunks or under seats for convenient storage.
